Sita Kulkarni, DMD graduated with highest honors from the University of Medicine and Dentistry‘s, New Jersey Dental School. Dr. Kulkarni completed her general practice residency at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, gaining valuable experience while treating the underprivileged patient community in a clinical setting. Dr. Kulkarni graduated as one of the ten students chosen to the Omega Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, and remarkably graduated dental school shortly after turning 24, making her the youngest dentist in her class.
While in dental school, Dr. Kulkarni was the recipient of the New Jersey Dental School Student Leadership and Distinguished Service Award, IDANA Student award. In addition to her academic awards and accolades, Dr. Kulkarni was very involved with the American Student Dental Association where she lobbied for various bills affecting dentistry to be passed in Washington, DC.
Dr. Kulkarni’s community service is very important to her and has endured beyond dental school, having visited Haiti to provide free dental care to hundreds of Haitians. Dr. Kulkarni plans on continuing this work and intends to visit many countries to do work around the world, as a member of Dentists Without Borders – as well as volunteering to provide dental work in the local community.
Dr. Kulkarni is an active member of the American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association and Middlesex County Dental Society.
When not treating patients, Dr. Kulkarni enjoys traveling, playing the Sitar, reading and indulging her love for adventure sports – having been skydiving, parasailing, paragliding, cliff diving, rappelling, white water rafting and zip lining.
