Dr. James Appiah, DMD

Dr. James Appiah is a highly accomplished Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with extensive expertise in complex dental extractions, implantology, nerve regeneration, and maxillofacial surgical procedures. His dedication to patient care, advanced clinical skills, and commitment to research make him a leading provider in the field of oral surgery.

Dr. Appiah completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center and is eligible for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery certification. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he ranked No.1 in his class and was part of the Honors Track in Oral Surgery and Advanced Pre-doctoral Implantology. His academic journey also includes a Bachelor of Dental Sciences from the University of Ghana School of Medicine and Dentistry.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Appiah has made significant contributions to dental research, particularly in nerve regeneration and oral biology, with multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals and international presentations. His dedication to education extends to his role as a teaching assistant and tutor in pre-clinical courses, mentoring the next generation of dental professionals.
